KR-58A Snap-on Tool Box Chest Skid Strips KTA-3 tote tray 1958 Vintage lock key
This box is completely functional and includes original Snap-on key. I made some drawer removers and straightened the second lowest drawer. It had been scraping the lowest drawer. I also popped out a dent in the back that was preventing the locking lid from closing. This might be a KR-58A or KR-58B, but I think the skid strips on the bottom place it earlier as late 1950s. No date code stamp found. Includes (factory optional) tote tray that appears original, but I'm also not sure. Originally shipped to LA, but now in the midwest. All drawers have been lubed and open easily with one hand. Lock mechanism turns fine.Plenty of superficial rust and paint drips. Piano hinge has minor damage at edges but lid closes well. Left lid hinge stop has replacement rivet.Shipping included in price. This sucker weighs 70 lbs once in a box. It weighs exactly as much as you would think for something that could easily hold a year's wages in tools. That shipping is a big part of its cost
