Ahoy! A phenomenal vintage nautical piece in a rare larger size, 16! Made by Chelsea Ltd, this adorable dress is a vibrant red + navy with great accents including a peplum w/ ribbon trim, soft/thin shoulder pads, an adjustable belt w/ a gold tone buckle, 3/4 sleeves + a pretty keyhole at the back of the neck. Though I believe this to be from the 1980s, I think this also could be worn in a very classic 1940s/ starlet sailor kind of way! Fantastic condition + marked size 16, but please see measurements below (it may be more like a modern day Large):

-Composition: 50% rayon, 50% poly
-VTG, retro, 80s, 40s, nautical, sailor, starlet, pinup, July 4
-Length: 47 in.
-Underarms across front: 19 in.
-Waist across front: up to 18 in. (belt can cinch)
-Hips up to 22 1/2 in. across front (8 inches below waist)
