More information about Vintage Morris Moskowitz Tapestry Leather Bucket Carpet Bag 1950s MM RARE

Reasonable offers considered! :)

This stunning and extremely rare 1950s handbag is in elegant condition, especially for its age! The outside is a gorgeous tapestry carpet chenille material, and the inside is full grain leather. The handle is a solid brass hoop, it has a vertical zipper on the side with a metal pull, and there are 5 protective metal feet on the bottom. The outer fabric does show minor wear (please see photos), but that is to be expected given the age of this rare piece.

Morris Moskowitz was a gentleman who spent 50 years expertly designing and crafting high-end handbags. After his 1980s retirement, his name was licensed to Dooney & Bourke as a testament to his stellar reputation.

I've only seen one other, which had reversed the materials and was sold for far more than this listing. It’s easily the remarkably lovely purse I've ever had the pleasure of owning; don't miss your chance to be the next in line!

Measures 16" x 10.5", zipper is 9”, handle hoop is 4.5” across.
